Personal Data

We only process your personal data with your consent or if this is required or permitted by law. We will only process personal data that is required for the processing of orders in our shop, that is collected in the context of the contact form, the comment function or the registration for further e-mail deliveries or that you provide to us voluntarily.

Personal data is all data that contains information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable person. This includes a non-exhaustive list of the name, gender, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address and postal address.

Transfer of personal data to third parties

For the processing of orders, it may be necessary to transfer your personal data to third parties (e.g. forwarding agents).

The data passed on to third parties will be transmitted to them exclusively for the fulfilment of their obligations or tasks. Transfers to state institutions or authorities only take place within the framework of mandatory legal provisions.

For example, we may or must provide information about our stored data on request in individual cases, insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger, to fulfil other sovereign tasks or to enforce rights or defend against claims.

Duration of data storage

Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the provision of our services. Sometimes it may be necessary to store data for a longer period of time due to legal or statutory obligations.

Data security

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Comprehensive protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

We have implemented technical and organisational security measures to protect your data, in particular against loss, manipulation or unauthorised access. These also include a valid SSL certificate for our websites.

Information

You have the right to request information about your personal data stored by us free of charge at any time. If your data is incorrect or wrongly stored, or if you wish to revoke your consent to the processing of your data, we will be happy to correct, block or, if necessary, delete it. Please also inform us as soon as there are any changes to your personal data. Please send your requests for information, questions, complaints or suggestions on the subject of data protection by post to: Evangelische Marienschwesternschaft e.V., Heidelberger Landstraße 107, 64297 Darmstadt or by e-mail to: verlag(at)kanaan.org.

We will always reply in writing and only to the address already stored in our systems.

Irrespective of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully by the Evangelische Marienschwesternschaft.

Registration for e-mail mailings

When you ‘register for the web newsletter’, your name and e-mail address will be stored, and if you have voluntarily provided us with your address and gender details, these will also be stored until you unsubscribe from e-mail mailings. You can unsubscribe at any time. You have expressly given the following consent separately or, if applicable, during the ordering process:
I agree that my name and e-mail address will be stored electronically and, if I have voluntarily provided my address and gender, these details will also be stored. I know that I can unsubscribe at any time.
