Visiting Kanaan

Take Time Out...

… from a hectic daily routine? Kanaan is a quiet place for prayer, with nooks and crannies named after Biblical places and events specially created for time alone with Jesus. The Garden of Jesus’ Suffering especially is an open invitation to silent prayer and meditation.

Group Visits

School classes and confirmation classes, seniors, students and prayer groups … all are welcome to visit Kanaan!

If coming for a group visit: Please write or call beforehand to arrange a suitable date – especially if you wish a guided tour across Kanaan and hear more about the story of our community and our everyday life.

Questions we are often asked

Are members of the public welcome to join you for prayers?

Every Sunday at 9:30 am, we celebrate a Worship service with Holy Communion in the Motherhouse Chapel (winter months) or in the Herald Chapel (summer months)

Regular Prayer Times in our Motherhouse Chapel

Daily at 3pm: Prayer at the hour of Jesus’ death to commemorate His Passion and (on Sundays) His Resurrection (15 mins)

Thursday, 7.45 – 8.45am: Prayer Time for the current needs in our city, nation and the world with intercession and worship before Jesus (in German only)

Friday 5.30 pm: Prayer of repentance and blessing for Israel

Friday Evening, 19.15 – 21.00: Free Worship and Adoration

Sunday 7.55 am: Morning Prayer (liturgical)

Do you also do tours for individual guests?

After the Worship Service on Sunday, guests who are new to Kanaan are welcome to join in a guided tour (it is helpful to contact reception beforehand).
