We worry and fret about things for no good reason. Yet the troubled and fearful could be released from all their cares and worries. They have the privilege of saying “Father” to Almighty God. It is a father’s duty to provide for his children. Are we making sure that we are children in our relationship with God? Then He will lavish His fatherly care upon us.

Why do we so often become agitated, annoyed and anxious? By getting upset and worrying, we prevent God from working in our lives and blessing our activities. The root of our problem is self-will. We want things to go at our pace or in a specific way. Our will has not been surrendered to God.
Stop whenever you sense yourself becoming worked up. Be still before God. Commit your will to Him and say, “I fully accept whatever You do, however You lead me, whatever You deny me. The way You arrange matters is always good. I trust You. I commit myself to Your will. Lord Jesus, You have redeemed me from my self-will and worrying.” Then you will sense the peace of God flowing into your heart, and your work will be blessed.
