There is Someone who knows about our worries. He sees every anxious thought that crosses our minds. Knowing what pain anxiety causes, He wants to help. He promises to care for us. Could anything be better? He wants to deal with our worries; to smoothe a path where we can no longer see one; to transform unbearable circumstances in His own way; and to send help. Cast your cares upon your heavenly Father. Thank Him in advance for sending help in your difficulties, and your heart will be filled with peace.

Our worrying is a sign that we think we are important. We think that everything depends upon us alone. We think that we are the ones who have to take charge, sort things out and settle all difficulties. However, those who are dependent upon the heavenly Father as true children do not count on their own resources but on the Father’s wisdom and power. When we count on Him, our worries will cease.

You are confronted with a mountain of worries. The Lord, however, says it is your own fault that your troubles are overwhelming you. No one has to remain in misery — no one who brings his troubles, worries and needs to the Lord and counts on His help. You will receive help from the Father in so far as you expect and trust Him to give it to you.
