There is Someone who has come to deal with your situation: Jesus Christ. The heavenly Father was thinking of you when He sent His Son. Jesus can deal with the problems in your small world. Bring them to Him, and He will act. You will be amazed at how He is able to solve everything (John 16:33).

His greatest gift — the sending of His Son to become our brother — is the guarantee. As a true and loving Father, He has planned only good things for this day and for your whole life. Full of expectation, keep your eyes open for them. Then you will see them. You will be thankful and happy and richly blessed by God’s love.

The angels of God are not without feeling. We read in the Bible that they rejoice over every sinner who repents. How much more will God the Father rejoice! So it is possible for us to bring joy to the heart of the heavenly Father, though it may often seem otherwise. Usually we are only aware of grieving Him with our sin and wearying Him with our faults. How encouraging to know there is a way for everyone, including the worst sinner, to bring joy to the heart of the heavenly Father — contrition and repentance! (Luke 15:10, Isaiah 43:24)
