You feel alone and forsaken. You cannot cope with your fears and troubles. The thought of future calamities is more than you can bear. But remember, you have become a child of God the Father through Jesus Christ. Now there is one thing a father cannot do: leave a child on his own to cope with fear and trouble. No true father would do that. And even if such fathers do exist on earth, your heavenly Father will never forsake or fail you. (see Deuteronomy 31:8)

God is love. One of the characteristics of love is faithfulness. He will never leave you. He will never disappoint you. He will guide you and sustain you to the end. However, He is asking for your love in return. He entreats you, as it were, “Trust Me when you are suffering and can no longer understand Me. Promise Me your loyalty as a token of your love”.
