A child’s prayer to God the Father is powerful and has the promise of being answered, for God loves children. He listens to their cries and helps them. However, born-again children of God are often in danger of losing their child status, which Jesus Christ won for them. It must be demonstrated in everyday life. It needs to be constantly strengthened by childlike dependence upon the Father, by willingness to be humbled, by dedication to the Father’s will. The deeper our commitment, the more power our prayers will have.

Whenever we feel helpless and inadequate, the moment has arrived for us to appeal to the Father in prayer and call down His love. At such moments His love will come to us as never before – if only we would believe this! These are the moments when we move the Father to have mercy upon us, to demonstrate His miraculous power, His help and kindness, and to pour out His love upon us. Let us take advantage of these moments. They are opportunities to experience the love and aid of the Father more than ever.
