Jesus came into this world long ago. But that doesn’t mean He no longer comes to us. He is alive today and wants to visit us today. Why do so many fail to experience this? The reason is that He will not force anyone to receive Him. As eternal love, Jesus is waiting for us to love Him in return. Genuine love is freely given.
Give Jesus your love, and you will find that He draws near to you. Take every opportunity this Christmas Season to show Him that you love Him. Speak with Him in prayer. Sing Him songs of thanksgiving and praise. Bring Him your sacrificial gifts just as the Wise Men did. He will respond, and you will have a real Christmas.

Christmas is the festival of joy. Our hearts are hungry for joy. Often we are burdened and troubled. But that holy night brought us Someone greater than everything – JESUS! He is the only One who can relieve us of all our burdens. So bring Him whatever is getting you down. He is waiting for you, longing to give you joy, to release you from your burdens and problems. He will give you His joy instead, a joy that no one can take away from you. (John 16:22)

Rejoice! The Father in heaven has sent the One of whom it is written, ‘I have overcome the world.’ He has overcome your world, too — everything that is causing you trouble and anxiety. There is Someone who has come to deal with your situation: Jesus Christ. The heavenly Father was thinking of you when He sent His Son. Jesus can deal with the problems in your small world. Bring them to Him, and He will act. You will be amazed at how He is able to solve everything (John 16:33).

Rejoice every day like a child looking forward to Christmas. The heavenly Father has lovingly prepared wonderful surprises for you. His greatest gift — the sending of His Son to become our brother — is the guarantee. As a true and loving Father, He has planned only good things for this day and for your whole life. Full of expectation, keep your eyes open for them. Then you will see them. You will be thankful and happy and richly blessed by God’s love.
