God tore His beloved Son from His heart and delivered Him up to rebels and murderers. The sight of His Son’s affliction made the Father’s heart ache. Yet He bore this for us, because His love for us is so great. This being so, He should surely receive continual thanksgiving from His children, thanksgiving expressed in trust even when we cannot understand Him.
