The kingdom of heaven with all its blessings in the way of security, holy carefreeness, love and happiness belongs to children. However, being a child of God must be practised through humility in everyday life. God’s children ask people for forgiveness where they have been wrong. They humble themselves before others. They are willing to take the last place. They accept correction from others like a little child. Those who do so experience the truth of the promise that the kingdom of heaven belongs to children (Matthew 19:14). Here and now they have a foretaste of heaven.
