Living in the nuclear age, we seek security as no other generation. In the coming time of great distress only those who are already at home in the heart of God will be secure. Those who can say now amid trouble and anxiety, ‘The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble,’ will know the reality of this affirmation when faced with even greater trouble and anxiety. So let us use present difficulties to practise living in the security of His heart. Then we will be able to do the same in the time of testing. (Nahum 1:7)
