“The Lord is compassionate and merciful” – these words were written over Job’s life. The Lord was filled with pity for Job. As the heavenly Father, God suffered with His servant Job when he endured affliction. Whoever suffers with the sufferer will try to ensure a good outcome. This is why in the end God more than restored all that Job had lost. This is an eternal law of the love of God in dealing with His chosen ones. So wait for the gracious ending of your suffering, and you will find that God will grant you more blessings than before (James 5:11).
