It is a deep grief to God the Father when He is forced to send judgment upon individuals and nations. However, He has to do so, because we often do not listen to His warnings and do not really want to be freed from our sins. If we could only see the fatherly sorrow of God, we would realize that we frequently bring our suffering upon ourselves because of our hardness of heart. Through repentance, however, we can restrain God’s hand. If we are under judgment now, God the Father is calling us to repent and change our ways. When we have a repentant heart, God in His love will turn judgment into grace.
