God has powerfully demonstrated His love for us by revealing Himself, speaking to us through His Word and making known His will. He tells us what we should do and what is good for us. Nothing so grieves His heart as when we ignore His words and commands. If we love God, we will take His commandments seriously. Seeking to apply them, we find that doing the will of God brings happiness and blessing, for the will of God comes from a heart which has only good intentions concerning us, a heart which is nothing but love.
