Is your cross weighing heavily upon you and you can no longer believe in the love of God? Yet you say that you believe in Jesus Christ. If you believe in Him, you must also believe in God the Father, who is love. This means that everything the heavenly Father does is inspired by love, even when He chastens you by giving you a cross to bear. Precisely then is He refining you, making you ready to enter the heavenly glory. Your cross, which is now weighing heavily upon you, will transform you and lift you up to heaven. Love your cross. God has given it to you as a key that will one day open the door to heaven. Do not lose this key. It is precious.
