Are you downhearted and cannot rejoice in God? Start proclaiming what your heavenly Father means to you:
 
“You are a God who helps me!
You are my loving Father, who always has thoughts for my good.
You will complete the work You began in my life, preparing me for heavenly glory.
You are almighty and offer me shelter and protection.
You have given Your only-begotten Son for my redemption.”
 
As you think about these different truths concerning God and praise Him for them, sadness will yield and joy will be kindled anew in your heart.
