You think that, when disaster strikes, you will be completely at the mercy of the forces of destruction. But God’s Word tells us differently. It says, ‘When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles … Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.’ So take care that you belong to the ‘righteous’ who, having been made right with God through the blood of Jesus, live according to the commandments of God. Then God’s promise of special help and protection is yours. (Psalm 34:17-20)
