The psalmist prayed, “O Lord… hasten to my aid!” (Psalm 22:19 RSV)
 
The Spirit of God prompted this prayer, because God really does hasten to our aid. Like every good father, He comes quickly when His child is in distress; indeed, He cannot come fast enough when you call to Him in your need.
 
But do you really call upon Him? Prayerful trust in the Father is the solution to life’s hardships, worries and difficulties. Therefore, do not brood over your troubles. Bring them to God. Cry out to Him, and the answer will not fail to come.
