God the Father sees His children who have voluntarily chosen to go the way of the cross out of love for His Son. He cannot bear to see them suffer only, as they embrace poverty, lowliness and various sufferings for Jesus’ sake. Time and again He refreshes His children and gives them joy. Live in expectation of this when you have a heavy cross to bear. Those who expect such refreshment and blessing receive it. However, those who resentfully close their hearts block God’s grace and blessings.
