Are you despondent, because you have run out of energy, ability, connections, opportunities — everything that gave you courage and self-confidence? How foolish it would be to despair! There is Someone to whom you may turn — Someone whose help never fails, whose energy is inexhaustible, and who is always willing and able to help. He is God, your loving Father. Turn to Him in prayer. As your Father, He will listen to your prayers. He will consider them in His heart and, in His wisdom, decide what help to send. The timing will be determined by His love. But He will always help, and you will afterwards acknowledge that He keeps His word — ‘Every one who asks receives.’ (Matthew 7:8)
