Your heart cries out, ‘I don’t feel like going on. Things are too hard. It’s more than I can take.’ But God your Father lovingly says, as it were, ‘I am waiting for people who will trust Me in the darkest night and obediently follow My leading, persevering to the end.’ Do not turn aside from the path along which God is taking you. Do not abandon it inwardly by grumbling or indulging in self-pity. Such reactions will cost you eternal glory. Instead, thank God your Father for leading you along this particular path in His love, so that one day you may enter the heavenly glory.
