Someone wanting to show us his gratitude might say, ‘If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know.’ Unbelievably, although we often hurt God, rebel against Him and forsake Him, His Word invites us, ‘Let your requests be made known to God.’ What tremendous love lies behind this offer! — a loving, fatherly heart which delights in fulfilling His children’s wishes. Our heavenly Father encourages us to come to Him with our requests, for He likes giving. Trust in His love, and you will experience the truth of this — provided you live according to His commandments. (Philippians 4:6)
