Do we protest and rebel against the will of God when suffering enters our lives? If so, our relationship with God is like that of a servant, who is indignant when he does not receive what he considers his due. But servants are not children; servants have no share in the inheritance. So stop behaving like a servant. It only makes you unhappy and displeases God. It will cost you your inheritance. Remember, through Jesus’ sacrificial death you are called to be a child — a child of the heavenly Father.
