“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night — but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.”

God has a heart full of love. That is why He consoles us like little children, as if saying, ‘Nowhere are you beyond My reach. Even if you have gone to the ends of the earth and are perhaps in peril of your life – I am there also. I am with you to help you, to protect you and to sustain you.’ So answer Him, ‘Yes, Lord, You are everything to me. And whoever has You has all he needs, even in death.’
