You say, ‘There’s something I’ve been praying for a lot, but God isn’t answering. I might as well give up.’ Do not say that. If you are a true child of the heavenly Father, you will keep on knocking and begging. That is a sign of humility. God gives grace to the humble. The Lord listens to humble, childlike prayers. Sometimes He answers prayer differently than you expect. But He will always listen and, in one way or another, deal with your problem. For instance, He may change your heart, so that you are encouraged and uplifted; then your troubles will no longer depress you. Or it could be that your wishes and desires will become less important to you, and you will not be distressed if they are not fulfilled. Your heart will be at peace.
