Perhaps you have been sidelined through sickness or age. You seem to be up against a brick wall. You want to live and work; you hunger for joy — yet you already seem to be counted among the dead. But the living God, who raised Jesus from the dead, wants His children to be filled with life and joy. Seek this life in Him, not in health, a new occupation, or anything else. Then you will find lasting, unclouded happiness. This is why God in His love has brought you out of a life filled with human joys and pleasures. He wants to give you true life. Believe this.
