We are not at the mercy of militant leaders and powers. We are in the hands of God the Father, who alone can make wars cease. Through fervent prayer, contrition and repentance we can move the hand of God when it is outstretched in judgment. But where are those who avail themselves of this possibility? God the Father is waiting for us to pray and move His heart and hand so that He can be gracious to us and our people again. (Psalm 46:9)
