God has hidden a gem in every cross and in every suffering He sends you. It is a matter of discovering it. Count on such precious gems, just as a child would expect presents from his father. Believe in the love of God. Then you will discover precious treasures in every cross you bear, and suffering will lose its sting. You will be refreshed and comforted by God.
