You are agonizing over God’s dealings. You can no longer understand Him. But that is only natural. If we sinful, created beings could always understand God in His thoughts and leadings, He would no longer be God, whose ways and thoughts are higher than ours. We cannot comprehend them. Yet they are always wonderful, always inspired by love. He has our best interests at heart and will accomplish His eternal purposes wonderfully, bringing everything to a marvellous conclusion. Play your part now by accepting yourself for what you are: a mere creature who can never understand God but who can trust Him unreservedly. Then you will be free from mental anguish.
