Can we imagine how the heavenly Father must suffer when we so often are a distortion of His image, showing little or nothing of His redeeming grace? We were made in the image of God. The Father would not have given up His only-begotten Son to die on the cross if it were not His ardent desire for us to reflect once again the glory of God. As one saved by Jesus, how great is your desire for His reflection to be seen in your life? Whoever loves God will make holiness his aim, because this is the Father’s will for His children. And whoever strives for holiness will attain it, for Jesus redeemed us to this end. (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
